STRENGTHS TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Previous experience in sales related role is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to read, enter and use efficiently a handheld computer, keyboard, monitor, phone calculator, printer, and copier.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once and maintain organization.
- Strong attention to detail, as errors may involve loss of customers.
- Flexibility with start and end times, as well as hours worked in a day.
- Must be able to work at a quick pace while servicing all customer needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Timely, and efficient delivery to customers daily.
- Preparation of truck daily with necessary product for next day’s delivery.
- Verification of daily invoicing with a handheld computer.
- Review of product for correct delivery and billing quantities.
- Addressing customer service issues concerning route deliveries including but not limited to communicating with customers, and/or internal peers.
- Completion of all daily paperwork as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of truck and notify management of any truck issues needing addressed.
- Responsible for DOT logs, and pre & post trip inspections of vehicle.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time-to-time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical requirements, such as lifting, climbing, standing, bending, squatting/kneeling, and stooping. Required to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a For Hire Endorsement and have capability to acquire clean MVR report.
- Must pass drug/alcohol screening and have completed DOT physical screening.
- Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs.
