About this role
Wildpack is looking for a dedicated, full-time Warehouse Manager with an interest in supporting a rapidly growing company. We are looking for someone who is a natural leader and is committed to delivering high quality service with high-performance results. We are looking for you to take charge of projects and to confidently navigate competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping. Working with the Operations Manager, you will procure and route product, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the procurement process. Ultimately, you will foster good relationships with key vendors and internal customers to ensure parts and materials meet high quality standards and are delivered on time. The work environment is fast paced as we are rapidly growing our operations. For this position, you should have superb multitasking abilities, be able to work independently, and exceptional attention to detail. You like a good challenge, have a sense of curiosity where you find enjoyment and satisfaction in looking for creative solutions to the everyday excitement that this role brings.
A day in the life: What you do
- 60/40 - Logistics Coordination/Procurement
- Source and qualify new logistics suppliers, warehouses and vendors internationally
- Review requisitions, initiate purchase orders according to specifications, and oversee order fulfillment cycle
- Respond to changes in demand and resolve problems that arise (i.e., shortages, delays)
- Review inventory quality and reconciliation of purchase orders against deliveries made
- Manage strong working relationships with key vendors and internal contacts to maintain quality of goods, timely
- delivery, and compliance to contract terms
- Maintain accurate inventory metrics and associated reports for management
- Track and maintain records on procurement activity (i.e., bill of materials, invoices, and contracts)
- Track lead time on purchase orders and developing delivery timetables to ensure all materials arrive at their destination together
- Efficiently facilitate logistics and transportation of shipment from global to warehouses in US, Canada, and Europe
- Coordinate shipment logistics with freight companies, warehouses, and customs brokers
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, transportation time, and storage Requirements.
Qualifications: What you know
- Strong logistics fundamentals including global trade
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organization skills
- Basic mathematic and forecasting skills
- Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets or Microsoft Excel
Nice to have:
- 2-3 years of procurement & logistics experience is preferred
- Supply Chain Management Courses or Professional Certification (SCMP, CSCP)
- Experience with international shipping, logistics and custom clearance
- Transport of Dangerous Goods certification
- Sourcing of electro-mechanical products including custom hardware, cables, connectors and electronics
- Knowledge of ERP system
- Knowledge of BoM management, AVL, ACL
