Make a splash this summer as a Summer Camp Lifeguard at Wildwood! We're looking for a responsible, energetic, and alert individual to ensure the safety of campers at our pool and lake. In this role, you'll help create a fun and safe atmosphere where kids can enjoy swimming, boating, water activities, and games. Whether you're monitoring pool play and boating, leading swim tests, or providing first aid, your main priority will always be the safety and well-being of our campers.

Job Responsibilities:
- Keep an eye on campers, encouraging safe play and offering gentle reminders when needed.
- Oversee and perform swim tests as required for pool and lake activities.
- Keep the pool area clean, including checking for hazards, maintaining proper equipment, and ensuring poolside chairs, toys, and other amenities are in good condition.
- Be a positive role model for campers, promoting safety, teamwork, and fun both in and out of the water.
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR if necessary
- Work closely with other lifeguards and camp staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all lifeguard equipment are in good condition and ready for use.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must have American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification for the entire summer camp season from late-May through mid-August.
- Must maintain the physical skills and requirements of an American Red Cross Lifeguard for the entirety of the summer season and demonstrate proper lifeguard rescues according to American Red Cross standards, whenever needed.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in interacting with children, families, and staff.
- Calm, professional, and responsive under pressure.
- Previous experience working with children or lifeguarding is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) when needed.

Work Schedule:
Up to 40 hours per week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday for the Summer 2025 Camp Season from late-May through mid-August. Evening or weekend hours may be required on occasion.
