Requirements
Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited college in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special education or related field
- 2 years related experience and/or training in the Applied Behavior Analysis field with population with disabilities.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred.

The Successful candidate will enjoy working in a special education school environment, where passion and creativity rule to provide children with disabilities, like autism, a robust learning experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Acts as a primary resource to staff in understanding disabilities and positive behavioral support.
- In collaboration with classroom teams, performs direct observation of students for behavioral assessments and development, conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior intervention plans, including the use of PFA/SBT procedures
- Supervises and evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of behavioral intervention using treatment fidelity measures.
- Participates in annual reviews and meetings on student’s progress. Designs, modifies, and implements behavioral support plans in conjunction with the treatment team and classroom.
- Graph, analyze, and summarize behavioral data
- Teaches and coaches staff members on proper implementation of BIP procedures, data collection systems, and up to date ABA clinical practices
Qualifications
Additional Requirements:
- A valid New York State Driver’s License and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
- Must have daily access to their own vehicle.
- Required to complete, pass, and use CALM training, provided by the school, which includes deescalation strategies and approved protective holds and movements for students.
