Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
- At least 1 year as a Direct Support Professional in a group residential setting working with individuals with intellectual and /or developmental disabilities
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Word processing, Google suite; E-mail and database software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the Residential Manager and Regional Coordinator in coordinating, supervising, developing staff and managing work schedules.
- Participates in the interviewing and hiring of new Direct Support Professionals. Works collaboratively with individuals & families as appropriate.
- Participates in habilitation plan development, in conjunction with Residential Manager.
- Maintains a capacity-based approach and participates in activities to build competencies and integrate individuals into their communities.
- Provides instruction and assistance to individuals in areas of daily living including but not limited to personal hygiene, cooking, house maintenance, social interaction, mobility training, use of leisure time and personal finances.
- Performs support staff responsibilities as needed including overnight staffing on a regular basis as scheduled by the Residential Manager or Regional Coordinator.
- Is active in the rotation of assigned Regional on-call (24/7 for one week rotations), as assigned and scheduled by the Regional Coordinator. This includes taking calls, triaging issues that arise and potentially responsible for filling shifts, including putting themselves in the schedule as needed.
- Completes, monitors and trains staff on all mandated reporting requirements, in conjunction with the Residential Manager or Regional Coordinator.

Other Qualifications
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record are required as you will be responsible to drive individuals to appointments and activities
- Commitment to schedule, assigned job duties and performance expectations
- Medication Administration, First-Aid and CPR certification or eligibility for certification
- SCIP-R certification based on program need
Salary : $21 - $25
