Job Summary
Wildwood Racquet and Wellness Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong background in bartending and restaurant operations. As the Bar Manager, you will oversee bar operations (including a small food/kitchen operation), manage staff, and ensure that all members and guests receive top-notch service in a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
- Manage and supervise bar staff, providing training and support as needed.
- Manage small kitchen operation including ordering food/supplies and food preparation.
- Maintain inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Collaborate with the bar team to create drink menus, specials and specialty drinks.
- Price food and drink items, adjust accordingly and appropriately
- Train and mentor new staff on bartending techniques, food safety practices, and customer service protocols.
- Manage cash register operations, ensuring accurate transactions and adherence to cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate catering services and special events (where applicable).
- Utilize POS system for order processing and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor bar performance and implement strategies for improvement.
- Assist in scheduling shifts and managing labor costs effectively.
- Act as manager on duty where needed
- Ensure coverage of bar operations
- Operate under WRWC values, mission and vision
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an Assistant Manager in a hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong background in casual dining environments with knowledge of culinary practices.
- Experience in shift management and supervising staff in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and best practices for maintaining stock levels.
- Ability to multi task
- Attendance at weekly manager meetings until a Food and Beverage Director is in place

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
