The Director of Product Development, Emerging AI Products, is responsible for the planning, delivering and business management of innovative product offerings throughout its commercial lifecycle, from concept to launch. You will develop a vision for the product, set the roadmap and forecast path based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research, and your own industry insight.
How you will make an impact:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Manage the product throughout its lifecycle: concept, launch, maintenance, sunset
- Collect and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases
- Write and validate product requirements
- Run trials and MVPs to develop a go-to-market launch plan
- Monitor, report, and improve product performance
- Oversee work of product teams to ensure timely and relevant delivery
- Run beta and pilot programs as part of MVP cadence
- Develop awareness of competitive landscape to contribute to pricing conversations
- Commission competitive research activities
- Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters, and other vehicles
- Represent the voice of the customer across all organizational levels
- Deliver regular (e.g. monthly or quarterly) forecasts on volume, revenue, and profit
- Develop and deliver training to sales and marketing support When necessary, build business cases to justify increased investment
What we look for:
- 8 to 10 years of product development experience, including 3 years managing cross-functional teams
- Mastery of AI tools, including ChatGPT, DALL-E, Claude, Synthesia, QuillBot, Bard, ElevenLabs, Tome, Zapier, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a product-related field in design or development
- Proven experience collaborating and leading a cross-functional product and technology team with revenue-impacting goals
- Experience with developing cloud-based platforms and products.
- Knowledge and experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Strong task planning and project coordination skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced product development environment
