Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct research on student learning outcomes using zyBooks across various disciplines, including Computer Science, IT, Data Science, and Engineering.
- Publish research findings in high-quality conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of STEM education.
- Utilize data analytics to drive continuous improvement in zyBooks’ content and platform, assessing their effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes and minimizing student challenges.
- Collaborate with instructors to design, execute, and publish research studies.
- Work closely with authors, engineers, and instructors to conduct research for new products or significant platform features.
- Partner with engineers to develop early proof-of-concept tools that enhance student learning experiences.
- Conduct studies evaluating the efficacy of AI tools in educational contexts.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation and quarterly research reports.
- PhD in Computer Science Education, Engineering Education, or other relevant STEM education fields.
- Strong expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research methodologies.
- Proven track record of publishing research papers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for and commitment to innovation in undergraduate STEM teaching.
- Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
- In-depth understanding of pedagogies relevant to STEM education.
- Teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AI technologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL is preferred.
