What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at Wilhoit Properties, Inc?
Our Property Maintenance Technician are responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community
- Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors
- Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as: painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
- Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare
- Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in property maintenance is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills essential for working on various projects
Requirements:
- Required to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- This position requires availability for on-call emergencies at all hours
- Ability to work with both hands for frequent grasping and manipulation
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational abilities
