Essential Duties Summary
Teach subject per qualifications. Teach online and seated SOC 210 (Introduction to Sociology) classes. Also, ability to teach SOC-213 (Sociology of the Family) and SOC-220 (Social Problems).
Required Qualifications
- Completed master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours completed in sociology coursework.
- Commitment to WCC as a learning-centered college through the College’s mission, vision, values, core skills and learning outcomes, and delivery of instruction and services.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience preferred in community college setting.
Physical Demands
Work is primarily performed in an academic (an office or classroom) setting with appropriate climate controls. Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.
