Job Description
This is a part-time position reporting to the Construction/Grounds/Gardens Supervisor. The Grounds Technician will assist in maintaining the grounds of the College and construction projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Hours: 7 am to 4 pm (Monday through Friday) Up to 28 hours per week.

Essential Duties Summary
Duties Include:
- Assist with weed-eating, edging, blowing, spraying, mulching, spreading fertilizer and lime, mowing, and picking up limbs on the college campus.
- Assist with general gardens/grounds maintenance.
- Assist/help with construction projects.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/AHS equivalent preferred
- Valid NC driver’s license
- Pleasant, professional disposition and ability to interact and work with diverse groups of people.
Preferred Qualifications
> Previous grounds/landscaping or building/construction experience preferred.
> Experience with operating tractors.
> Experience with operating tractors.
Physical Demands
> Walking for 8 hours per day
> Lifting up to 50 lbs
> Climbing/stooping frequently
> Stretching/reaching overhead
> Tolerate temperature extremes both indoor and out.
> Physical labor and work outdoors in inclement weather
> Lifting up to 50 lbs
