What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Instructor, Pep Band position at Wilkes University?
Wilkes University seeks applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in the Division for the Performing Arts to teach Pep Band beginning August 2025. Primary duties include night rehearsals and performances at university home football games, plus some home basketball and hockey games. Other performances, such as special events, are possible. The Wilkes University Pep Band is a highly public-facing ensemble within the campus community and beyond. As such, the candidate will work with the Director of Bands to foster a quality and well-rounded band program.
Depending on the chosen candidate's areas of expertise, this position could be expanded to include teaching Introduction to Music or Fundamentals of Music courses for additional compensation.
Bachelor's degree and prior band teaching experience are required and prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. The review process will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. To ensure full consideration, please submit your materials by March 31st.
