Wilkes University invites applicants for a Paralegal/Office Administrator in the Office of the President. Reporting to the university's General Counsel & Title IX Coordinator, this dynamic role will perform various legal assistant and administrative support functions.
As paralegal, the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting documents, interviewing witnesses, preparing reports, assisting during litigation and other legal matters, and conducting case management. This position will also provide office management and administrative support, including clerical activities and related tasks, while providing warm hospitality for their assigned building. In their capacity as office administrator, they will respond to and direct incoming calls to appropriate associates, oversee mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties, such as purchasing card reconciliation and calendar management.
An associate's degree is required, bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have two years' related experience. A Pennsylvania Paralegal certification is preferred. Candidate should demonstrate strong competence with MS office and database applications, and proficiency in the use of standard office equipment. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism are imperative. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
