Wilkinson Community Outreach, a thriving program on a mission to promote Loving God with PASSION, Loving People in ACTION. We are in search of an Activities Coordinator who is full of life, energetic, understanding, and compassionate for our Community Outreach Day Program. We support a variety of individuals with disabilities including behavioral issues and elderly. The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for conducting and participating in all activities with the clients.

Activities may include, but are not limited to parties, games, assisting with daily exercising, reading and writing, arts and crafts, baking and cooking, traveling, entertainment, and assisting with implementing and coordinating special activities or fundraisers. You MUST enjoy working with those with disabilities or behaviorally challenged. You must also have a valid drivers license to travel with clients in the 15-passenger vehicle provided by Wilkinson Community Outreach. Driving history should be clean with no major violations and no more than one minor violation within 30 days, applicant cannot be on payment plan, Driver’s License must be clear.

• 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm with rotating morning route

Activity Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and oversight of activities.
• Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our clients.
• Attend all planned functions and help coordinate the event from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event.
• Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
• Must be willing to rotate morning route for planned activity events.
• Must be able to drive a 15-passenger vehicle.

Qualifications:

· One to three years’ experience in care working with elderly, disabled, and behaviorally challenged patients preferred.

· Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.

· Ability to encourage and motivate.

· Demonstrate creative ability.

· Strong skills in delegation and consensus building.
