We are New England’s leading commercial/industrial heating contractor and we are growing! Our organization has been servicing customers for over 70 years mainly in Eastern Massachusetts. We are currently seeking a General Manager to lead the sales and operations of our Mobile Boilers Division.
Summary: Responsible for managing and directing all aspects of the mobile boiler rental division, which includes managing the work of the Installation and Service technicians who install, repair and maintain mobile boilers. Generate and execute sales plans and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
Sales:
- Develop and maintain solid customer relationships within the boiler industry. Resolve questions, problems and concerns with speed and professionalism.
- Ability to generate and follow up on sales leads.
- Ability to provide potential customers with technical expertise both in writing and presentations.
- Perform engineering and design for new customer orders.
- Must be able to estimate and quote projects and rental equipment
- Must be able to create mobile boiler pricing metrics.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence key decision makers.
- Support the field Installation and Service technicians with completing service orders and providing pricing information. This includes after-hour service.
- Help customers design and size the most efficient application for the temporary heat of the building.
- Assist with receivable collections on late invoices
- Meet with President periodically to review customer prospects, existing customer issues, project operations and project profitability.
- Maintain relationships with state inspection officials
- Ensure all relative mobile boiler paperwork is easily accessible and up to date.
- Work with administrative personnel on permit applications and status.
- Ensure there is a moderate amount of critical spare parts that are always readily available.
Operations:
- Plan, direct and coordinate the daily operation of the division.
- Help establish and implement division policies, goals, objectives and procedures.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the work of technicians.
- Oversee job related and install and service-related purchases, including inventory control.
- Provide customers with technical product information and provide product training as needed.
- Assist with training new Installation and Service technicians.
- Supervises projects to make sure that they are in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Assist with safety procedures.

Education/Training/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree

This position reports directly to the President. The salary range is $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 with bonus eligibility.
