What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardener position at Wilkinson Gardens?
Job runs from mid-March through November.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general gardening tasks such as planting, mulching, pruning, and watering plants
- Conduct groundskeeping duties such as raking leaves, removing weeds, and cleaning walkways
- Assist with landscape maintenance projects, including installing new plants and maintaining existing landscape features
- Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools used in gardening and landscaping
- Monitor plant health and identify and treat pests or diseases as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in gardening and landscaping
- Experience in groundskeeping tasks such as leaf removal and weed control
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including plant installation and maintenance
- Understanding of plant growth cycles and basic farming principles
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
-Must have valid, clean, drivers license.
