With extensive experience in numerous areas of expertise and in both the federal and state trial courts. Our attorneys have experience in a wide range of matters including: agricultural, trust, estate planning, civil, real estate, business, family law and muncipal law.

Applicant should have the ability to communicate clear and concisely with clients, opposing counsel, and the court; draft clear documentation, memorandums, reports, and correspondence; identify and solve problems, handle a large and varied caseload in an effective and efficient manner; analyze facts, evidence and precedents; to work in a fast-paced environment; maintain confidentially; and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively as part of a team;
- Representing clients and businesses in legal proceedings;
- Advocate for client interests in motion practice hearings and trials, in person and by video or telephone when permitted
- Draft, review and execute legal pleadings, responses, discovery, motions, etc.
- Send and respond to correspondence from opposing counsel, pro se parties, corporate office, litigation members and courts
- Attend court trials, mediations, and hearings throughout the State of South Dakota.
- Communicate effectively with legal services and firm management.
- Comply with client expectations, firm policies, and federal/local/state regulations, and remediating/resolving any identified compliance issues.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University;
- Juris Doctorate;
- Admitted to practice law in South Dakota and a member of the State Bar;
- Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small-team environment.
