What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Quality Floor Inspector position at Wilko Plastics, Inc.?
INITIAL TRAINING REQUIRED:

· Floor Inspector Competency Form to be completed within 45 days

SUMMARY: The primary goal of the Floor Inspector is to perform inspections and audits to ensure that all the parts being produced are acceptable and if they are not acceptable to report it to the shift Supervisor and Quality Inspector immediately. Perform Final Audits, which includes packaging, labeling and overall quality of parts to ensure that these are all correct and approved prior to shipment. Provide accurate daily production counts to the shift Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

· The Floor Inspector will organize and arrange the staging area and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
· Upon the beginning and end of each shift, the previous shift Floor Inspector will inform the next shift Floor Inspector of current issues. Both Floor Inspectors will tour the production area (make a round) to make sure everything is for the next shift.
· Complete In-process/Final inspection sheet daily and other forms and maintain files.
· Work with minimal supervision and use good judgement in determining the acceptability of production parts.
· Sort and contain any nonconforming or suspect parts as required.
· Responsible for ensuring that all production has been counted/weighed and approved.
· Assist in training operators.
· Aid in the success of the Shift Awareness Meeting daily.
· Know how to use Label Maker and print all necessary labels
· Understand and apply Quality Management System, and ISO-9001 and IATF 16949.
· Review, sign and understand Notification of Quality Concern (NOQC)
· Verify that Production N-Charts are being completed as required
· Be able to log on to Wilko computer system to receive and send emails
· Be able to log on to Wilko computer system to view and print all required documents
· Verify Material to SOP and record lot number on In-process / Final Inspection Sheet
· Setup and use all Scales
· Perform Color Checks Visually and with X-Rite Spectrophotometer
· Use and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
· Use and understand Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
· Use and understand Control Plan (CP)
· Use and understand Wilko Engineering Releases
· Covering of vacation / LOA / call-in days
· Comply with all Wilko Policies
· Two 10-minute breaks (paid)
· One 30 minute (unpaid lunch break must punch in and out)
This position requires professionalism, decision-making skills, and the ability to communicate effectively on all levels (both written and verbal). You must have excellent attendance, a flexible schedule and do a considerable amount of walking and lifting of 25 to 30 pounds. You must work closely with the Supervisor, Quality and have a good rapport with all co-workers. You must be tested for color acuity and obtain a passing score.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
