JOB TITLE: Material Handler
SHIFT: 1st
SUMMARY: The Material Handler will safely supply the manufacturing area with raw material, packaging, inserts and any other materials needed to assist production while incorporating First in First out techniques (FIFO) and assist in setting up and breaking down workstations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

· Perform daily Hilo safety checks as needed.
· Always maintain a clean and safe environment around machines and production area. Our warehouse is to be kept in a neat and orderly manner when pulling or putting away materials.
· Upon the beginning and end of each shift the previous shift Material Handler will inform the next shift Material Handler of current issues. Both Material Handlers will tour the production area (make a round) to make sure everything is for the next shift.
· Supply an adequate amount of properly blended material for each job throughout your shift according to the schedule.
· Material grinders are to be emptied on a regular basis.
· Supply packaging and components per the SOP for each workstation.
· Assist other Production Support personnel when changing jobs / molds, which includes the necessary paperwork and the workstation equipment. Both setting up and breaking down the workstation. Be sure it is set up in a neat and orderly manner. Also, remove any equipment not being used and store it in its designated area except for thermolators and dryers.
· Upon a tool change, the Material Handler will pull and or put away any partials of regrind or virgin material to and from the warehouse for the job going in or out of the press and any parts from the partial rack.
· During mold changes, grind all parts and runners left on or behind the machine and in the scrap bin and anything else that was left behind.
· During mold changes, hoppers, magnets, loaders and machines are to be cleaned of all oil, grease and material. Material grinders are to be cleaned thoroughly and set up for the next job with correct material codes and lot numbers.
· Must create labels for partial containers.
· All material always must have proper identification codes in visible sight whether at the press in the partial rack or stored in the warehouse.
· Clean the Auto Loader filters each shift.
· Clean dryer filters each shift.
· All materials brought back to the warehouse must be properly weighed, labeled, counted and stored, including regrind.
· Deliver all finished molded parts to warehouse staging after pallet is full, inspected and approved.
· Replenish packaging rack as needed.
· Relieve for breaks on assigned machines.
· Empty garbage containers as needed and at the end of each shift.
· Understand and apply the Quality Management System
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
