What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Wilko Plastics Inc?
SUMMARY: The Supervisor will oversee the shift assigned to him/her. This individual will be responsible for production operations during this shift. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING TO BE CONSIDERED.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
· Train and develop subordinates: Training is critical to deliver “good parts, on time, and at a competitive price.” An atmosphere needs to be created of continuous improvement and eliminate chances of error.
· Process Verification and Change Management
· Workstations Setups and breakdowns
· Responsible for the quality of parts produced during the shift, controlling the process and efficiency must also be emphasized.
· Supervisors issue and receive verbal and written information. All communication must be timely, accurate, appropriate, and effective.
· Optimization of personnel and facilities can be achieved through setting priorities, and organization. This includes assigning people, meeting schedules requirements, maintenance planning, and efficiently scheduling machine and mold capacity.
· Implement methods to reduce premium time waste. Employee involvement is critical.
· Understand and apply the Quality Management System.
This individual should possess a good knowledge of the molding machines systems and overall production process. Ability to work well with others and organizational skills.
