Position Summary: The Revenue Analyst for the manufacturing facility is responsible for managing and analyzing revenue generation processes, including billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all inventory used in production is accurately billed and tracked. The Revenue Analyst will also collaborate with various teams to ensure financial data is aligned with manufacturing operations and that all transactions are documented accurately to facilitate timely and accurate revenue recognition.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices for all products manufactured, ensuring accuracy in terms of quantities, pricing, and agreed terms.
- Ensure that billing reflects the proper inventory and raw materials used in production.
- Review and validate customer orders and contracts to ensure proper billing and revenue recognition.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely collections and compliance with payment terms.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly revenue reports for management review.
- Work closely with the inventory control and production teams to ensure that inventory used in the manufacturing process is appropriately tracked and accounted for.
- Ensure that all materials used in production are appropriately reflected in billing, minimizing discrepancies between inventory usage and final invoicing.
- Conduct regular audits to compare production data with inventory records to confirm proper usage and billing alignment.
- Provide ongoing support for any discrepancies related to inventory usage, pricing, or billing issues.
- Analyze production cost data and support the Finance team with cost analysis related to manufacturing and revenue reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to sales, billing, and revenue for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain) to ensure accurate revenue and cost reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of billing, inventory tracking, and revenue recognition.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standardized procedures for invoicing and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all billing transactions and inventory usage for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and clarify any revenue-related inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a revenue-related role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with manufacturing inventory management and cost accounting is preferred.
- Knowledge of billing systems and revenue management processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools is preferred.
