Position Summary : The Development Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all phases of construction projects. This includes site selection, pre-construction planning, permitting, budgeting, and overseeing construction activities. The successful candidate will ensure that all project goals, including timelines, budgets, quality, and safety standards, are met. They will also work closely with various teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Roles / Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring work is done to specifications and on schedule.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and budgets.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze potential sites and locations for development projects.
  • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within financial parameters.
  • Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare regular budget reports for management.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all projects meet relevant legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and inspections as required by local authorities.
  • Stay updated on changes in zoning laws, construction regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the development team, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and performance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Preferred not Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
