Power End Technician
The Power End Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of power end equipment utilized in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, assemble, and test power end equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Disassemble and reassemble power end equipment, replacing or repairing defective parts as necessary.
- Calibrate and align equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.
- Test repaired and rebuilt equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with quality standards.
- Document test results and maintain records of repairs and inspections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a mechanical or related field, or equivalent technical certification.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with tools and equipment used in mechanical repairs, such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and diagnostic devices.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and demonstrate manual dexterity.
- Able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
Work Environment:
The Power End Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. The technician must be able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
