POSITION: Communicable Disease Investigator I, II, or III

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Candidate willconduct investigations, surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases of public health. Areas of importance will be vaccine-preventable diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, bloodborne pathogens, foodborne diseases, waterborne diseases, airborne diseases, vector-borne diseases, zoonotic diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and emerging infectious diseases. Assist in Outbreak Investigations through data collection, case interviews, contact tracing, education, and prevention. Schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Communicable Disease Investigator I: Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or Science with one (1) year of experience in communicable disease investigation and epidemiology. Communicable Disease Investigator II: Accredited Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or Science, OR Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or biological Science with two (2) years’ experience in communicable disease investigation and epidemiology. Communicable Disease Investigator III: Accredited Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or Science with two (2) years’ experience in communicable disease investigation and epidemiology.

Pay: $24.70 - $44.17 per hour
