What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communicable Disease Investigator position at Will County Health Department?
Candidate will conduct investigations, surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases of public health. Areas of importance will be vaccine-preventable diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, bloodborne pathogens, foodborne diseases, waterborne diseases, airborne diseases, vector-borne diseases, zoonotic diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and emerging infectious diseases. Assist in Outbreak Investigations through data collection, case interviews, contact tracing, education, and prevention. Schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. The position is 100% in-person (not remote).
