POSITION: Nutrition Specialist
DIVISION: Family Health Services
Under the supervision of the Division Director through immediate supervisors; plans, organizes and evaluates nutrition component of Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Conducts group education, health assessments and certifies clients eligible for WIC. Performs hemoglobin screenings; assess needs for health and social services; develops an individual care plan in conjunction with clients; periodic assessments, follow-up, and referral activities. Schedule calls for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. Wednesday hours 10:30am-6:30pm. Must be flexible to work at satellite clinics and hours as assigned, including evenings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, and Public Health Nutrition.
REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility.
DESIRED: Bilingual in Spanish, but not required.

Pay: $24.70 - $35.77 per hour
Expected hours: 37.50 per week
