What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse II or III (CHC/051) position at Will County Health Department?
WILL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager, the applicant will provide general nursing care and leadership while working collaboratively with physicians and other multidisciplinary team members. They will educate individuals and families in health promotion and disease prevention and provide instruction in general health care and treatment to assigned patients. The staff nurse will promote and restore patient’s health as they provide, delegate, evaluate, and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care using the nursing process for patients of all ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds while providing physical and psycho-support to patients, friends, and families. Schedule calls for Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm, and Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm., and travel to satellite locations to provide coverage as needed. May be asked to provide Saturday coverage once every four to six weeks, with a compensatory day off in that week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Staff Nurse II: Accredited Diploma or Associate’s in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse by the state of Illinois or reciprocal State required. Staff Nurse III: Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse by the State of Illinois or reciprocal State required.
