ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS OPERATIONS
The Assistant Director of Admission Operations serves alongside the Senior Associate Director of Admission Operations in order to accomplish all operational functions for the University. The Assistant Director develops expertise in prospective student record management and enrollment systems data integrity within the client relationship management tool, Slate. The Assistant Director is entrusted with independent decision-making, manages multiple projects consecutively, displays exceptional attention to detail, and communicates effectively with both internal and external audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Autonomously manages and makes decisions regarding Willamette's large and complex travel voucher program including eligibility tracking, coordination with university accounting department, comms and visits, and direct contact with prospective families
- Independently selects, hires, trains, and supervises the student operations intern team on both short- and long-term projects related to admission operations and database maintenance university wide
- Manages document intake and application processing throughout recruitment cycle, including detailed independent decision-making regarding effective communication tracking
- Contributes to international enrollment efforts
- Maintains departmental meeting agendas, notes, and document storage policies
- Serves as backup for guest service by phone, email, and in-person
- Manages the final transcript verification process university wide
- Manages sentence checks in the completion of admit letters
- Contributes to the processing of GPA checks
- Contributes to the processing of Admit and Deposit boxes
