We have Operational Plants in Dalton, Calhoun, Adairsville, White & Rome along with 2 portable plants, in-house mechanic shops in Dalton, Calhoun & Rome and Material Stores in Dalton, Calhoun, Cartersville & Rome.
The Late-Person/ Asst. Dispatcher is responsible for the daily closeout and end of day operation for the concrete plant. This position is 6 days per week, Mon - Sat for approximately 3-5 hrs./ day. This position does include the possibility for advancement for the right individual to a full-time plant manager positions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completing all remaining orders for the day with limited supervision
- Entering inventory
- Daily time card entry
- Issuing driver schedules for the following day
- Possible light equipment use (operating loader)
- Close out and shut down procedures for all plant equipment
- Assisting with any plant issues/clean up that may be necessary around the yard
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient math skills
- Good interpersonal skills (customer relations, communicating with drivers)
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer use
- Ability to read a map and give directions
