Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly proficient CAD Modeler to support the design and development of Special Test Equipment (STTE) for the Long Endurance Electronic Decoy (LEED) program. This is a part-time, short-term contract role expected to run for 2 to 4 months, with a total level of effort ranging between 200 to 500 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed CAD models and drawings for LEED STTE.
- Generate a mechanical parts list compliant with program requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief RF Engineer for iterative design input and validation.
- Participate in 1 to 3 in-person design reviews in Washington, DC (fully remote otherwise).
- Ensure compliance with mechanical and integration standards required by the LEED program.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling (platform-agnostic – SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Availability to start within the next few weeks.
- Willingness to travel to DC 1–3 times for in-person reviews.
