About the Role
The successful Mechanical Engineer will have ideally have previous experience with designing flat pierce or progressive dies or experience of designing machines, gauges, fixtures and tooling.
Responsibilities
- Must have a firm grasp on how machined parts are made.
- Must have knowledge of various fabrication methods.
- Must have good experience with some kind of modeling software.
- Must have knowledge of PLC’s and simple electrical layouts.
- Looking for a bright, creative and energetic engineer looking for an opportunity with a growing manufacturing company.
- Designing machines, gauges, fixtures, and tooling.
- Layout and programming of PLC systems.
- Using a CAD system to model & layout designs for various dies, fixtures, and machines.
- Supervising tryouts of dies, fixtures, troubleshooting issues with designed mechanisms and machines.
- PLC & motion control electrical layouts and programming for custom machines.
- Support maintenance with troubleshooting issues with production/CNC equipment.
- Assist production with problems concerning tooling or programming during the manufacturing process.
