Wildan Lighting & Electric, a division of Willdan Group Inc., is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for our Maspeth, NY or Manhattan, NY office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead project development efforts in coordination with other team members.
- Provide engineering support to the New York Power Authority (NYPA) LL88 projects and other energy efficiency program teams and ensure proper & timely follow up to complete requests.
- Identify and develop lighting system upgrade solutions meeting the LL88, NYC Energy code, and NYPA product requirements.
- Conduct QA/QC of the lighting audits conducted by the audit team to ensure proper lighting system upgrade recommendations and correct energy savings.
- Prepare savings calculations in spreadsheets meeting NYPA's submission requirements.
- Process requests and work with teams to build future requirements for new tools and features.
- Create and manage projects to closure, with timely, efficient and pleasant follow up.
- Manage lighting measure catalogs and material lists for various suppliers and vendors.
- Build rapport and provide details and feedback from the team.
- Assist in communicating technical results to the client and team.
- Strive to maintain project scope of work intent, schedule, performance and budget.
- Research and assessment of new EE technologies.
- Develop proposals to implement recommendations per NYPA's approved procedure.
- Review photos or videos of the existing lighting systems to develop correct lighting upgrade solutions.
- May be required to attend occasional audits and on-site inspections to improve audit quality.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in any of the following: lighting system design and selection, energy savings analysis, energy auditing, and thorough understanding and knowledge of the NYC energy code and LL88 requirements.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially excel).
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
