We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineer. The qualified candidate will plan, design, and direct civil engineering projects of a more complex nature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Budget estimates, cost control, and schedule for assigned tasks and / or projects.
- Calculate cost and determine feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.
- Prepare or direct preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, installation schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects.
- Work with and / or coordinate the program effort with other individuals within or outside the Group. This may involve utilities, affected stakeholders, community relations and information reps.
- Use computer assisted engineering and design (CAD) software and equipment such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, and gravity flow and pressure flow modeling software.
- Use working knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling to develop sustainable solutions for storm water flows, and sewer and potable water flows relative to assigned projects.
- Assist in training of staff.
- Participate in the preparation of engineering proposals including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Make oral presentations to clients and / or organizations.
- Actively involved in building client relationships and market identity.
- Specialization in land development engineering.
- Understanding of land development entitlement process.
- Understanding of land development application process from initial submittal through the construction phase.
