What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA/QC and Engineer of Record (EOR) Director position at Willdan,?
Genesys Engineering, P.C., a subsidiary of Willdan Energy Solutions ("Willdan-Genesys") is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of QA / QC and EOR in our Manhattan, NY OR Pelham, NY office. This person will be a key member of the engineering team and will work closely with our offices in the NYC metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering design and QA / QC background within the New York State and New York City areas. The candidate must have a working knowledge of buildings mechanical, electrical and other support systems. Additionally, the candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and good communication skills.
The Engineering Department has approximately 15 personnel with annual revenue between $2-4M.
Responsibilities
- Sign and seal all drawings and specifications prepared by the Engineering Department for filing to the respective jurisdiction within New York and New Jersey.
- Conduct quality control review of engineering design calculations performed by in-house or outside consultants (MEP only).
- QA / QC construction documents including design drawings and project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to verify installed conditions, gather information, and observe construction and help resolve field issues during construction.
- Support the peer review process of RFI responses and equipment submittals during the bid and construction phases.
- Conduct quality control review of design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Ability to move seamlessly between projects and support prioritization of projects and schedules according to Senior Management.
