POSITION SUMMARY
Provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries and pickups to our customers while providing quality customer service. Maintain contact with the Office to receive delivery and/or pickup instructions and performs other general warehouse duties as assigned. Warehouse organization, shipping and receiving is minimal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Load company vehicle tie down materials and perform required vehicle safety checks prior to operating vehicle.
- Deliver load in a timely manner in accordance with company’s standard of quality customer service.
- Operate company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards
- Complete appropriate paperwork and obtain customer signature. This includes packing slips, proof of deliveries and route sheets.
- Listens to and resolves customer complaints.
- Assist with unloading company vehicle at destination to include unloading product off truck, operating forklift and lifting and carrying materials as needed.
- Ensure the vehicle is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion. This includes washing and general maintenance of the vehicle.
- Inform Manager of any new sales opportunities.
- Relay information of potential problems or competitors to the Warehouse Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Maintaining a good driving record, previous forklift experience
- Valid Driver’s license and can pass insurance underwriters
- Previous industry experience preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills and Customer Service Oriented
- Shows ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Map reading skills required
- Demonstrate various skills including; Customer Focus, Dependability, Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Inventory Control, Documentation Skills, Equipment Maintenance
- Some computer skills preferred
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and organize workflow on a daily basis to accomplish required tasks
