Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and customer-focused Dental Office Front Desk Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our patients. As the Front Desk Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing front office operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
- Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Answer phones promptly and professionally, assisting patients with scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and providing information about services.
- Handle patient check-out, including scheduling follow-up appointments and processing payments.
Appointment Scheduling:
- Efficiently manage the office’s appointment calendar, scheduling patient visits and ensuring optimal time management for the dental team.
- Confirm appointments via phone, email, or text, and manage cancellations or rescheduling.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records, including updating contact information and insurance details.
- Process insurance claims and handle any related paperwork or communication with insurance companies.
- Ensure a clean and organized front desk area, as well as maintain office supplies and patient forms.
Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between patients and dental staff to communicate appointment changes, treatment plans, and financial information.
- Assist in maintaining effective communication between the front office and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a dental office, particularly in front desk or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in dental office management software (experience with Dentrix is a plus).
- Knowledge of dental insurance processes and terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Strong calendar management skills
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- No weekends
