Job Summary
The Regional Hybrid Clinical Director, under the supervision of the Associate Deans of Nursing, oversees the clinical components of the hybrid nursing curriculum for the assigned region. The Regional Hybrid Clinical Director is responsible for evaluating clinical faculty performance within their assigned region, ensuring effective instruction, and promoting continuous improvement. The role requires travel to remote clinical sites as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assigned Region
- Meets with faculty of record for each hybrid clinical courses to plan clinical calendar and experiences.
- Facilitates student clinical orientations and orientations to the technology required for the facility and providing student assistance when technical problems occur.
- Regularly evaluate the performance of clinical faculty through clinical observations, student feedback, and peer reviews.
- Routinely travel to clinical sites in assigned region.
- Collaborate with the School of Nursing leadership to develop and implement strategic recruitment efforts for clinical faculty positions of assigned region.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hybrid clinical faculty, ensuring they are adequately oriented to the program and institutional policies of assigned region.
- Lead targeted recruitment events and efforts in assigned region for the COHS and Hybrid Nursing Programs.
- Identify and develop new clinical partnerships to enhance student learning opportunities in assigned region.
- Evaluate clinical sites to confirm student learning opportunities, ensuring the quality of patient care and educational experiences of assigned region.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clinical agencies, negotiating memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and contracts as necessary of assigned region.
School of Nursing
- Collaborate with the COHS Student Enrollment Coordinator to develop strategic recruitment and marketing plans for the Hybrid Nursing Programs in assigned region.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student's academic success in the clinical component of the hybrid program.
- Assist students with the clinical placement process, offering guidance and addressing any challenges that arise during their clinical rotations.
- Track and monitor student progress in clinical courses, ensuring all requirements are met for successful program completion.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and accreditation documentation related to clinical faculty performance, clinical placements, and student success.
- Participate in program assessments, ensuring continuous improvement of the hybrid programs.
- Assist the Dean of Nursing and Associate Deans of Nursing in assuring compliance with the undergraduate programs with respect to regulatory and legal standards, including accreditation standards.
- Meet on a regular basis with the Dean, Associate Deans, and/or other Academic Directors for planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures, sharing of information, etc.
- Perform duties as specifically indicated by the Dean of Nursing.
- Fulfill teaching duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of the respective campus.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Unencumbered compact RN License for Mississippi or Louisiana.
- At least four years' experience teaching in a professional nursing program
- Clear criminal background check performed by the MS Department of Health
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel within assigned region
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in nursing or related field
- Administrative or managerial experience
Physical Demands
- Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended time periods.
- Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Must be able to maintain office hours and perform duties in an on-campus setting.
