Job Summary
The Recruiter for the Tradition Campus ushers new students from their WCU interest to their first trimester registration, manages a travel schedule, helps implement campus tours and events, and maintains relationships with high school and college counselors and organizations representatives within a designated territory.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
- Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.
- Recruit students in a given territory as assigned by the Director of Admissions
- Represent WCU at in-person and virtual high school and community college fairs as well as university sponsored and community events.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with high school and community college guidance counselors.
- Engage with potential students and WCU applicants regularly.
- Maintain a student correspondence file.
- Organize and host individual and group prospective student tours
- Manage a travel schedule with participation from the Hattiesburg Office of Admissions.
- Participate in the execution of admission hosted events
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary for operation of the Admissions Office
- Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Admissions Office
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from WCU
- Prior recruitment skills
- Prior office management
- Prior computer experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
