What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Research Specialist position at William Everett?
We are currently looking for a full-time Payment Research Specialist to join our Parking Management team. The Payment Research Specialist will be responsible for researching payments received for parking, red light, and speed enforcement citations. The payments are made with checks, money orders, credit cards, and cash payments.
Responsibilities :
- Researching and resolving discrepancies for motorists concerning payments that were processed.
- Creating and tracking reports in Excel regarding no No-information payments.
- Communicating and following up with the customer via email regarding payment inquiries.
- Use payment research software to accurately support payment research requests from motorists and other requestors.
- Utilize document encoding software to accurately capture payment information and review results via a workstation monitor to ensure image quality.
- Utilize credit card authorization software and follow document control and business process processes and procedures related to credit card information security requirements.
- Complete daily deposits for submission to financial institutions
- Possess fast, accurate keyboarding skills (general typing and data entry)
- Experience with writing and maintaining operations process documents
- Be highly organized and work under time constraints continuously and steadily while paying close attention to detail to meet payment processing deadlines.
- Pack documents into storage boxes after processing and label them according to document type and date. Must be able to place storage boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. into a secured storage area.
- Complete daily scanner equipment maintenance, including regular cleaning, calibration, and replacement of simple parts.
- Follow the appropriate business operations processes and procedures to complete work assignments accurately and within approved guidelines.
- Commit to minimal absenteeism and maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Be production-oriented and comfortable working to meet daily processing goals and targets. Also, be willing to sit for the entire shift, pay close attention to detail, and focus on repetitive tasks.
- Possess basic computer skills, including working knowledge of the Windows operating system; starting and stopping various software applications; opening, closing, and saving electronic files; and utilizing mouse and keyboard for basic functions.
- Have general knowledge of other office equipment including printers, copy machines, and fax machines.
- Be willing to complete special assignments or assist in other areas of the project based upon availability and fluctuation in volumes.
