Position Overview:
Under the direction of the President & CEO, The Chief of Strategy, Planning, and Development (CSPD) will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Ryan Health Network through strategic leadership, long-term planning, and sustainable growth. This position requires a visionary leader who can craft and implement strategies to enhance organizational performance, expand service offerings, improve community health outcomes, and optimize operational efficiency. The CSPD will collaborate closely with senior leadership, staff, board members, and external stakeholders to ensure the Ryan Health Network meets the evolving needs of our communities in support of the mission and goals of the Center. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of the Ryan Health.
Essential Functions: Strategic Planning and Leadership:
In conjunction with the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and other stakeholders:
- Lead the development, implementation, and periodic updating of the organization’s strategic and capital plan in alignment with the health center’s mission and vision.
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve service delivery, patient satisfaction, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of strategic initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation and forward-thinking throughout the organization to position Ryan Health as a leader in community healthcare.
Long-Term Planning & Growth:
- Oversee the long-term planning process, ensuring alignment with community health needs, regulatory changes, and financial goals.
- Conduct regular environmental scans and needs assessments to identify emerging trends, healthcare challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Conduct regular community needs assessments to coordinate and manage the compilation of patient demographic and social determinants of health information pertinent to Center objectives and activities.
- Lead the development of new service lines, program expansions, and facility upgrades to meet community demands and improve access to care.
- Explore and develop strategic partnerships with external organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders to enhance the center’s growth and service capacity.
Grant Writing & Development:
- Lead the organization’s grant development efforts, identifying funding opportunities and securing financial resources to support growth and sustainability.
- Financial Analysis: Oversee the assessment, stability, and profitability of a business opportunity
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare coalitions, and other stakeholders to support shared goals and collaborative efforts.
- Along with other Senior Leaders, engage patients, community members, and staff in strategic planning efforts to ensure the health center’s initiatives are community-driven and reflective of patient needs.
Board and Senior Leadership Support:
- Provide regular updates to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on the progress of strategic initiatives, key outcomes, and financial performance.
- Support the Board in its governance role by providing information and recommendations for decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with the CEO and senior leadership team to set organizational priorities and monitor progress toward achieving strategic goals.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of strategy, planning, and development professionals, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values innovation, accountability, and diversity of thought.
- Provide leadership in organizational change efforts to ensure the successful implementation of new initiatives and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and deliver high-quality, patient-centered services.
- Establish performance benchmarks, facilitate regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback to optimize team performance.
- Immediately report any problems and/or unusual occurrences to leadership.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
- Ten years of experience in a planning position with progressive responsibilities.
- Excellent financial analysis skills
- Excellent Knowledge of statistical analysis, survey, and other community assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience leading and supervising a team.
Education, Licenses, and/or Certifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy or related field.

Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
