Our team is building the next-generation Sports Betting platform that optimizes flexibility, performance, responsiveness, and resiliency. As a Software Developer in Test (SDiT), you will be an integral part of ensuring our platform's reliability, scalability, and quality. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to define test strategies, implement automation frameworks, and maintain high-quality standards in our CI/CD pipelines.The technologies we like to use include Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, SQL and No-SQL Databases, Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab CI/CD, and more. We seek an experienced SDiT to work directly with the business, ensuring our backend applications are robust, scalable, and highly testable.What you will be doingDesigning, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for backend servicesCollaborating with developers and product owners to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality metricsWriting and executing automated and manual test cases to validate business and technical requirementsWorking closely with the team to analyse, debug, and resolve any defectsEnsuring observability, logging, and monitoring are in place to improve software reliabilityChampioning best practices for test-driven development (TDD), behaviour-driven development (BDD), and continuous testingActively participating in the CI/CD process, versioning and releases ensuring tests are integrated into the development pipelineSupporting the production environment by monitoring, identifying, and resolving issues proactivelyWho we are looking forStrong programming skills in Java and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as JUnit, SpringBootTest, Cucumber etc.Experience in testing APIs, Kafka streams, microservices with both component testing and end-to-end testing approachesExperience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar toolsFamiliarity with database testing, including SQL and NoSQL databases as well as strong understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)What we offerOur roles offer more than just a job, you’ll become part of the Grand Parade family!
