William James College announces an opening for a full-time Core Faculty position in the Doctoral Clinical Psychology Department beginning on August 4, 2025. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and the benefits are highly competitive. The minimum starting salary for this academic position is $90,000 and is consistent with the department’s salary equity considerations for incoming faculty.

Responsibilities
Core faculty members are involved in teaching, advising, and research supervision. Additionally, there is the expectation of committee work and scholarly productivity. We are seeking applicants with interest, expertise, and/or experience in Neuropsychology, Cognitive Assessment, and/or Cognitive and Affective Aspects of Behavior. Applicants with an interest in addressing disparities in assessments and/or whose work has focused on behavioral health equity for unserved and underserved communities will be of particular interest. The successful applicant may teach neuropsychology and cognitive assessment courses (e.g., Functional Neuroanatomy, Neuropsychological Assessment, Cognitive Assessment), as well as courses covering basic and experimental cognitive science domains including sensation/perception, object recognition, attention, memory, language, problem-solving, decision making, and affective neuroscience (e.g., Cognitive and Affective Bases of Behavior). Applicants will also supervise dissertations in their specific area of expertise.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology, have completed an APA-accredited internship, have teaching experience, preferably be licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts, and maintain some involvement in clinical practice or consultation. A demonstrated record of scholarly work defined broadly (e.g., community engagement, educational leadership, innovation, investigation, and research) is preferred. Successful applicants will also have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the College’s strategic plan of inclusion. Candidates must be available to teach in-person classes and participate in on-campus activities.
