About the Position
William James College seeks a dedicated Research Assistant to support the SAFEGUARD Post Hospitalization Suicide Intervention Program, which develops high-quality case management systems for soldiers transitioning out of psychiatric inpatient care. The Research Assistant will work closely with the Sub-Principal Investigator (PI), clinicians, and team members to coordinate training sessions, manage program activities, and contribute to the intervention’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Enrollment Management:
Manage enrollment for training sessions, ensuring case managers are registered and informed. Schedule training sessions and consultations, including virtual meetings. - Resource Procurement:
Order and manage training materials, including CTI and CLASP books, ensuring timely availability. - Supervision and Assignment Coordination:
Maintain schedules for patient assignments, ensuring compliance with CTI/CLASP models. Coordinate team meetings to review progress and address challenges. - Program Development Support:
Gather and analyze feedback to support program improvement. Collaborate on implementing revisions based on feedback. - Outreach and Recruitment:
Conduct outreach and follow up on leads to recruit guide candidates. Schedule and organize candidate interviews. - Program Monitoring and Reporting:
Compile reports on training attendance, resource distribution, recruitment progress, and feedback to support program fidelity and continuous improvement. - Organizational Support and Coordination: Additional Organizational support as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, public health, or a related field required; Master’s degree or graduate program enrollment preferred.
- Experience:
- Preferred: Program coordination, training support, or research assistance experience.
- Experience organizing training sessions, team meetings, or recruitment efforts.
- Familiarity with military or veteran populations is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.
- Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
