What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packing Helper position at William L Bonnell Company?
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Assist in packing aluminum extrusions according to company standards and specifications.
Prepare packaging materials and materials for shipment.
Monitor and confirm the quality of products before packing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient packing area.
Label packages accurately and ensure proper documentation is completed for shipments.
Unload and inspect incoming materials as needed for packing operations.
Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the qualifications, knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
What You Will Need:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy objects and be on your feet for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and labeling.
Basic understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changes in the production schedule.
Must pass company background check and drug screen.
