Qualifications:
-RI Certification - Building Level Administrator PK-12
-Masters Degree in Educational Administration/Leadership
-Working knowledge and understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) regulations and funding at the state and federal levels
-Minimum of three years supervisory experience in CTE
-Demonstrated experience working effectively with business, industry, and education partners
-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Responsible for administration, supervision and evaluation of all career and technical teachers
-Oversee CTE curriculum development and alignment
-Develop rigorous and meaningful PD opportunities, including externships and industry-based training for teachers
-Ensure that CTE teachers maintain compliance with the latest federal, state and industry standard requirements
-Ensure that technical program advisory boards convene at regular intervals and that technical programs are aligned to industry needs
-Develop a CTE budget through a collaborative process with CTE teachers
-Apply for grant funding to support the needs of the school
-Maintain equipment inventory and engage in capital planning for upgrades and replacements
-Oversee the Office of Workforce Development and the successful placement of students in competitive employment
-Develop and grow partnerships with RI industries to ensure appropriate competitive training and career pathways
-Implement effective standards-based lesson planning and instruction, and oversee improvement plans as needed
-Ensure that relevant outcome-based measures are in place to assess the effectiveness of Davies career and technical programming
-Provide supervisory support for the school
-Partner with the Supervisor of Academic Instruction to support instructional collaboration among academic and technical teachers
-Collaborate in partnership with all Davies administrators to ensure consistency of supervisory and instructional practices
-Verify implementation of accommodations to meet the needs of all learners
-Collaborate with all Davies administrators
-Perform other job-related duties as assigned
