By providing hands-on training and career preparation, we not only help our students discover new passions, we help ensure each Davies graduate has the academic background and technical skills needed for future success.Davies is now hiring a Long Term Substitute Health Teacher!(The position will run from April 2025-May 2025, exact dates to be determined)Qualifications-RI Teacher Certification in Health-Secondary teaching experience preferred-Masters degree preferred-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptableEssential Duties/Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective instruction linked to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or other content specific area at the secondary level that will facilitate meaningful learning in the course competencies of curriculum-Maintain student record, including grades, attendance, and performance measures that assess and improve student learning-Foster a safe and productive learning environment- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that will allow students to master State and National standards-Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Understanding Required-Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, families, and colleagues
