What are the responsibilities and job description for the International Fellow (Russian House) position at William & Mary?
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures offers courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Hispanic languages, literatures and cultures. Integral to these programs are the "Languages Houses," where resident native speakers, or International Fellows, encourage active use of their native languages and assist student residents in organizing and/or supporting cultural activities. Students in these houses are expected to speak the target language in their normal social encounters in the house. The International Fellow has educational/cultural, public relations/liaison, and administrative responsibilities while living in the House. In addition to these duties, the International Fellow may also be hired to teach one or more credit-bearing courses for their prospective language program each semester.
