Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and talented Floral Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Floral Designer at William Paul Floral Design, you will play a crucial role in crafting beautiful and customized floral arrangements for a wide range of occasions, from weddings and special events to everyday bouquets. You will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, bringing your expertise in floral design to create memorable experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Design and assemble a variety of floral arrangements, including bouquets, centerpieces, and corsages, according to customer specifications and design guidelines.
Source, select, and order fresh flowers, foliage, and other floral materials to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
Maintain the quality and freshness of all floral products, ensuring they meet our high standards.
Assist customers in person and over the phone, providing expert advice and recommendations on floral selections.
Collaborate with the sales team to upsell and cross-sell floral products and services.
Prepare and package floral arrangements for delivery or pickup, ensuring they are handled with care.
Keep the design studio and work areas clean, organized, and presentable.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually enhance your floral design skills.
Participate in floral design workshops and training sessions, as needed.
Assist with general shop tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Floral Designer or similar role in a florist shop.
Strong knowledge of floral design principles, techniques, and trends.
Creativity and an eye for detail in crafting visually appealing arrangements.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of different types of flowers, foliage, and floral care.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy flower arrangements.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during peak floral seasons.
