Overview
The Director of Maintenance is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our facilities. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to ensure that all systems, equipment, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge in facilities management, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and project management. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring a safe working environment.
Duties
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure effective operation and maintenance of all facilities.
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, low voltage systems, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Plan and manage maintenance projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Requirements
Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
- Proven Long term care experience
- Proven Life Safety experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
