Cook and Late Night Lead

Join our lively snack bar team! We're seeking an energetic and customer-focused Late-Night Lead and Cook to provide exceptional service and delicious food to our campus community.

Pay starts at $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This is a 40 hours weekly, 9-month academic position, with the following scheduled hours: Wednesday through Sunday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, with Monday and Tuesday off. Schedules are subject to change based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Assistant Manager on daily food production, including short order cooking.
• Expedite and monitor mobile ordering for accuracy.
• Maintain all kitchen equipment in proper working condition.
• Check and ensure completion of the daily cleaning list.
• Oversee the complete closing of the late-night operation in the absence of the manager.
• Direct the team during service periods to ensure customer satisfaction regarding food quality and quantity.
• Assist in food preparation and service, including set-up and breakdown.
• Perform cooking duties as required.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Restock food items as needed.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Conduct daily cleaning tasks as assigned.
• May be asked to work overtime, and work schedules may vary to include weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Enthusiastic and energetic demeanor.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge and ability to work on a grill.
• Basic math skills.
• Flexibility to handle varying schedules.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Capability to lift heavy objects up to 40 pounds.
• Professional demeanor in relating to customers and staff.
• Kitchen experience preferred.
